 | The function of this section is to work towards the creation of an environment conducive to both local and foreign investment and to develop a policy framework, which takes into account national, regional and global developments, and influences an overall strategy for the development of Commerce and Industry. Services provided by this Section Our focus is in developing LOCAL ENTERPRISE. We endeavor to accomplish this by offering the following range of services:- - Details of appropriate policies oriented toward the facilitation of local private business initiatives.
- Free consultancy services in collaboration with the National Development Corporation for investment in Industrial and Free Zones.
- Process applications for Fiscal Incentives, Tax Concessions, Duty Free imports for local enterprises (including joint ventures with non-nationals.
- Promote locally produced exportable items at Regional and International Trade Expositions.
- Provide information on rules governing St. Lucia's participation in Regional and International Treaties - Provision of the Caricom Treaty, Association of Caribbean States IACS) Lomé IV, North Americas Free Trade Agreement in the Americas (FTAA).
- Facilitate access to assistance for upgrading of businesses, market development et cetera, through institutions such as Caricom Export and Eastern Caribbean Export Development Agency (EDADU) and international organisations.
