PUBLIC DEBATE AS PART OF BUSINESS MONTH ACTIVITIES

The Ministry of Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs in collaboration with its Affiliate Agencies has designated September as Business Month under the theme, "Economic Growth through Business Support - with a focus on Youth and Women." The Ministry has developed a series of activities in observance of Business Month aimed at sensitizing the general public on the core functions and services of the Ministry and its Affiliate Agencies. Business Month is also in keeping with the Ministry's mandate at promoting and fostering business development as part of our economy's growth strategy.

One of the activities in observance of Business Month is a formal, public debate between Monroe College and the Saint Lucia National Youth Council to be held on September 16th, 2015.  The topic of this debate will be, "The Sir Arthur Lewis Economic Model could Revive Saint Lucia's Economy, if implemented."

Mr. Mac Donald Dixon, Deputy Governor General, will serve as moderator for this educational oratory to be held at the Grace Augustin Conference Room of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College at 5:45 p.m.
